Listen to The Beatles' Christmas Records

Each year from 1963 until 1969, The Beatles recorded a Christmas record, usually several minutes long up to nearly eight minutes long, for members of the official Beatles fan club. Only fan club members received The Beatles Christmas' messages - the records were never released commercially, although a compilation was made in 1970 and bootleg versions have always existed.

The records contain the four members of The Beatles - John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr - wishing their fans a merry Christmas, acting silly, talking, singing, goofing off, inventing new Christmas carol lyrics, and, in one case, recording their own Christmas composition. These recordings harken to the vibe of The Beatles' earliest days, when they were making silly video clips and A Hard Days' Night.
