Snow-Diving Foxes May Also Be Using Earth's Magnetic Field

A few days ago we told you about a study that showed domestic dogs tend to line up with Earth's north-south magnetic field lines when they are ... um ... squatting to ... you know ... do their business. But researchers are also starting to believe that other canines - foxes - might use sensitivity to magnetic field lines to help in their hunting.

Here is video of foxes doing their famous "snow dives" - leaping into the air, then diving snout-first into deep snow, chasing small game that is scurrying beneat the snow. This excerpt from the North America TV series explains a bit about the magnetic-sensitivity theory:
