Some items on the McDonald's menu have been around from (or very near to) the very beginning of the franchise. The basic cheeseburger, for example. Others, such as oatmeal, McCafe coffee drinks and McWraps are very recent additions. And in-between, along with many items that remain popular, are some foods and drinks that came to McDonald's and then went very quickly. Do you remember McDonald's corn dogs? McPasta? McPizzas?
The website Thrillist has compiled a historical timelime of the McDonald's menu, listing dozens and dozens of menu items, the years they debuted, and, if they are no longer part of the menu, their years of departure. They even got archivists at McDonald's to fact check it.
